This Privacy Policy explains how Gadgetry.rent (registered business Gamers Garage; GSTIN 27ANPPL2971H1ZK) collects, uses, and protects your personal data, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and applicable Indian law.
Information we collect: your name, email, phone, delivery address(es), and business details (e.g. GSTIN) where applicable; identity-verification results; order, payment, and rental records; and delivery-verification records (including photos/video and a photo of your ID captured at handover).
Aadhaar / KYC — important. We verify identity using a UIDAI-licensed verification provider. We do not store your full Aadhaar number, OTP, or biometric data. We retain only a masked reference and the pass/fail result from the provider, along with a record of your consent. We connect to UIDAI only through a licensed provider, never directly.
How we use it: to verify you, fulfil and manage rentals, process payments, deliver and recover devices, provide support and required notices (including pre-debit notices for recurring charges), prevent fraud, and meet legal/tax obligations.
Payment data: card and bank details are handled by our payment partner (PayU) via its secure hosted checkout; we do not store your raw card data.
Storage & security: your data is stored on servers located in India, with access restricted to authorised staff, and sensitive media (ID images, delivery proof) kept private and access-controlled. Every access to verification data is logged.
Sharing: we share data only with service providers needed to run the service (KYC, payments, delivery, communications, hosting) and where required by law. We do not sell your data.
Retention: we keep data only as long as needed for the service and legal/tax requirements, then delete or anonymise it.
