Technical Coverage Policy

Service Guarantee — not insurance

Every rented device is covered by a standard warranty service — the same kind of cover that applies to laptops and desktops generally, mirroring the manufacturer (OEM) warranty. If a device develops a technical fault that is not caused by physical damage, liquid damage, misuse, or unauthorised tampering — for example a hardware component failure, or a device that simply stops working under normal use — Gadgetry will repair or replace it at no cost to you, and we'll aim to provide a replacement device to minimise your downtime. This service is funded by your monthly Protection Fee.

This service guarantee covers:

  • Hardware/component failure under normal use.
  • Manufacturing or functional defects that appear during the rental.

It does not cover:

  • Physical or liquid damage, or damage from misuse/negligence (see the Damage Coverage Policy).
  • Issues caused by your software, your data, viruses, or unauthorised changes.
  • Consumables and normal performance limits of the device's specifications.
  • Battery wear / reduced battery life and other parts that degrade with normal use.
  • Anything excluded under the device's standard manufacturer (OEM) warranty.

How to claim. Contact our support at Support@gadgetry.rent / +91 88504 73499 describing the issue. We'll guide you through basic checks and, if it's a covered fault, arrange repair or a replacement device at no charge to you.
